I was surfing around WoW sites last night after the raid, and I came across this ironic gem from Nihilum’s site.

If it’s not obvious, take a look at the ad and read what the article is about. Essentially, Nihilum is offering people a download containing a list of gold selling web sites they can copy and paste into their ad filtration systems. Despite this, in grandiose irony, it seems one has slipped past their own filter. That said, however, I understand their plight. Unless you’re using an ad system that hand picks what companies are allowed to advertise through their system, or you go with an extremely inefficient referral or allowance system, you’re not going to keep your site 100% free from gold selling ads.

It’s just another example of why the battle against gold sellers will never be won, much like the war on drugs. But that’s not to say I support gold selling. I don’t. Its potential to increase in-game inflation tenfold is troublesome for honest people who farm the gold themselves.
